Project Module Q&A
Q1: Error message: "Only one funding source may be selected for rounding”
When editing the project contract/funding source
A: There is a migration artifact which led to a lot of projects having 2 funding rules. Please scroll down and delete the rule with an end date. Keep the one with "open end date"
Q2: Other issues with founding source
A: These have been identified as migration issues and is found on some projects. Most is fixable by going inside the Project Contract.
First, check "Founding sources" that the Founding source is the same as the Customer. On some cases this field has been empty.
Second, check "Funding rules" of the contract. There should only be 1 rule for each project of the contract. Also, select your funding rule and click "Allocation" in the Funding rule box. Make sure the customer is selected as the "Funding source" and that "Rounding" is checked.
Q3: Warning “Field Contact name must be filled in”
When creating invoice proposals

A: First of all, it is a warning (not error) and you may safely proceed.
To avoid this warning, add a Contact to the project contract:
- Go into the project contract of the project, and select the funding source.
- Then, press Details
-
Under the category References and Other, enter the information
- Contact ID / “Your reference” (this is the field giving a warning)
- Possibly a requisition/PO-number (max 20 characters)
- Possibly a Volue employee name/department name for “Our reference”
From this point on, new invoice proposals will have this information filled in by default, and no longer show the warning.
